About the Role:

As an Activity Assistant at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a vital role in promoting a fulfilling lifestyle for our residents. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and implementing a wide range of activities designed to promote socialization, entertainment, and mental stimulation. From arts and crafts to exercise programs and special events, you will be responsible for creating a engaging and stimulating environment that caters to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement individualized activities for residents, taking into account their interests, abilities, and needs
  • Lead group activities, such as exercise classes, card games, and arts and crafts, and ensure resident participation and engagement
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement an activity calendar that caters to the needs and interests of our residents
  • Encourage resident participation in activities, foster socialization, and build relationships with residents
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance and resident feedback
  • Participate in facility events and celebrations, such as birthdays, holidays, and special occasions
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents as needed
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn our electronic activity software
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
