Shipping & Receiving Team Lead

Ranew's Companies is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Team Lead to join our growing team in East Moline, IL.

As a Shipping & Receiving Team Lead
, you will be responsible for ensuring team members efficiently utilize skills and training. This includes verbally instructing employees to complete tasks and functions in which they are cross trained, as needed, to meet operational demands and achieve team objectives. You will assess workload distribution and promptly direct cross-trained employees to undertake additional or alternative duties, ensuring optimal productivity and task completion within the team.

Provide leadership and line management, coordinating workloads, supporting success, monitoring issues, and ensuring production targets and quality standards are met to satisfy customer requirements. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support needs to achieve high standards, fostering a culture of safety. Work under general supervision, reviewed by management. Decisions and results impact the function’s success.

Salary: $22 - $26 / hour (starting pay based on experience and shift) |

Responsibilities &

Qualifications:

  • SAP experience preferred but not required.
  • Lead and train department personnel to comply with written work instructions and procedures.
  • Coordinate and schedule Assembly and Test Kick-Off meetings with respective departments.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and alloy identity inspections of randomly selected parts for compliance with project requirements.
  • Review existing tooling, gauging, and fixtures, making improvements as necessary to increase department efficiency.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities through procurement of materials and hardware.
  • Follow through on hardware and software issues requiring services from other departments for timely completion.
  • Attend Project Status meetings and provide input.
  • Responsible for safety practices and procedures and implement corrective actions.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of computer functions, including the ability to use multiple computer systems and programs.
