Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM;
Set schedule of 3 days per week, with occasional weekend shifts as needed

Join our team in the Recovery Care Center (RCC), a 10-bed unit within our outpatient surgery program that provides overnight recovery care for patients following scheduled procedures such as joint replacements, spine surgeries, mastectomies, thyroid surgeries, and urologic procedures. Most patients stay just one night before safely returning home.

Unlike a traditional Med‑Surg floor, the RCC is a short‑stay surgical recovery unit focused on post‑operative monitoring, pain management, early mobility, and patient education. Lower nurse‑to‑patient ratios allow nurses to spend more meaningful time with patients while collaborating closely with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to support a safe and successful recovery experience.

Benefits
  • Expect paid time off, parental leave, 401K matching and an employee recognition program.
  • Dental and health insurance, paid holidays, short and long-term disability and more. We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members.
  • Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family.
Responsibilities
  • Assess patient and family needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate appropriate referrals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care using the nursing process and clinical judgment in alignment with unit standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation to maintain a complete legal medical record of patient care.
  • Use a holistic approach to care that considers physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and safety needs across all patient populations.
  • Educate patients and families using appropriate, individualized teaching strategies and consult hospital resources as needed.
  • Delegate and direct other healthcare team members as appropriate, ensuring accountability within the plan of care.
  • Maintain compliance with all organizational, regulatory, and safety standards including HIPAA, OSHA, and required annual education and competencies.
