Principal Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; customize orders as requested
- Prepare and serve foods and baked goods including sandwiches, salads, wraps, cookies, soups, along with in‑house catering and deliveries
- Receive and process customer payments, run register and handle cash balances
- Stock supplies or retail products, inventory, and orders as directed
- Clean and sanitize all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas
- Clean and sanitize service and seating areas
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures
- Sponsorship is not available for this position
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage multiple orders while multitasking other aspects of the cafe
- Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and lift objects
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be available to work early mornings and day shift
- Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance

Salary RangeState of Illinois Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.50. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
