Fire Marshal

Constellation Energy seeks a Fire Marshal to lead fire and life-safety programs across generation and utility facilities. In this role, you will develop and enforce fire codes, conduct risk assessments, and oversee inspections of plants, substations, and offices. You will investigate fire incidents, maintain emergency response plans, and coordinate drills with internal teams and local authorities. The Fire Marshal will provide training, ensure compliance with NFPA and OSHA standards, and support permitting and audits to safeguard people, assets, and critical energy operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce fire and life-safety policies and procedures across facilities
• Conduct regular fire risk assessments, inspections, and audits of plants and offices
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and local fire codes and prepare documentation for regulators
• Investigate fire incidents and near-misses and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Maintain and update emergency response and evacuation plans for energy operations
• Plan and lead fire and emergency drills with internal teams and local fire departments
• Provide technical training and guidance on fire protection systems and procedures
• Review facility designs, modifications, and permits for fire and life-safety impacts
• Oversee testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems
• Advise leadership on fire safety strategy, budgets, and risk mitigation priorities
