John Deere Cylinder - Pipe fitting & HV Maintenance
As a Pipe fitting & HV Maintenance employee with John Deere Cylinder Works in Moline, IL, you will:
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair all factory pipe systems, such as water, gas, oil, and sewer in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. In addition, you will install, inspect, maintain, repair, and adjust all types of heating, ventilating, and refrigeration equipment.
Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:
Make minor repairs, such as replacing or repairing pulleys, belts, valves and traps on ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Install, maintain, and repair control devices for caustic and oil quench cooling systems, water cooled generators, tractor wash and gasoline withdrawal systems. Install pumps, nozzles, valves, traps, gages, meters, regulators, filters. Regulate and maintain gas mixing inspirator, converting natural gas to BTU requirements.
Install pipe for hydraulic systems. Install sprinkling systems and dry box valves and recharge fire extinguishers. Operate and maintain sewage disposal system. Assist and support other team members and work with minimal supervision. Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job. Work shifts (choice of shift based on seniority). Starting Pay: $37.78 / hour
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have at least one of the following:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience Journeyperson's card in Pipe fitting / HV Maintenance OR at least 2 years of industrial pipe fitting / HV experience (or equivalent Military experience and training). Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Ability and willingness to work ANY shift and potential overtime (including weekends).
