Position:
Mechanic. This role performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in a safe, effective manner to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Some locations may have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment.
• Contribute to a safety-focused work environment.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1 to 3 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job.

You become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Paid time off includes 12–25 vacation days, 5 sick days, 6 holidays, 2 half-day holidays, 2 floating holidays, 1 inclusion day, and 1 volunteer day, subject to Sunbelt’s policies (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement).
