Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Under the direction of the RN, the LVN will:
- Assist in identifying the physical and environmental needs of patients as evidenced by documentation, clinical records, case conferences, team reports, and evaluations
- Participate in planning and implementing care in conjunction with the RN
- Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patients
- Assure continuity of quality patient care delivered with appropriate documentation
- Prepare regular clinical and progress notes and summaries
- Assist patients with activities of daily living while teaching appropriate self-care techniques
- Provide and maintain a safe environment for the patient, including an optimum physical and emotional environment
- Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times
- Follow emergency procedures in the event of any catastrophic event or incident, including accidents, injuries, or significant changes in a patient’s condition
- Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing
- Proof of current LVN license required
- Proof of current CPR certification required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an LVN in a clinical setting preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
