Responsibilities

Under the direction of the RN, the LVN will:

  • Assist in identifying the physical and environmental needs of patients as evidenced by documentation, clinical records, case conferences, team reports, and evaluations
  • Participate in planning and implementing care in conjunction with the RN
  • Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patients
  • Assure continuity of quality patient care delivered with appropriate documentation
  • Prepare regular clinical and progress notes and summaries
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living while teaching appropriate self-care techniques
  • Provide and maintain a safe environment for the patient, including an optimum physical and emotional environment
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times
  • Follow emergency procedures in the event of any catastrophic event or incident, including accidents, injuries, or significant changes in a patient’s condition
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing
  • Proof of current LVN license required
  • Proof of current CPR certification required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an LVN in a clinical setting preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
