Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualificationsand Experience
- Valid certification in Deaf / Hard of Hearing Education or Special Education (as required by state standards)
- Previous classroom or instructional experience with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and auditory/oral communication approaches
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with general educators, related service providers, and families
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum and classroom activities
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf / Hard of Hearing, in individual, small-group, or classroom settings
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Use a variety of communication methodologies, including ASL, cued speech, or technology as appropriate
- Collaborate regularly with school personnel and families to ensure comprehensive student support
- Monitor student progress and prepare data for progress reports and meetings
- Advocate for services, accommodations, and assistive technology to promote student success
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities as needed
