Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Moncks Corner, South Carolina

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing sign language interpretation within a dynamic school environment near Moncks Corner, SC. This full-time, onsite position will run from August 5th, 2026, through June 4th, 2027, offering 37.5 hours weekly. Assignments at specific school locations will be determined before the start date.

Your expertise will ensure clear communication and inclusive educational experiences for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Collaborate closely with educators, staff, and students to facilitate learning and improve access to curriculum and school activities.

• Current South Carolina Sign Language Interpreter (SC SLI) license required
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and educational interpretation techniques
• Previous experience supporting students in academic settings is highly regarded
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working exclusively in onsite environments

• Provide interpreting services between students, staff, and peers in classrooms, meetings, and school events
• Support the individualized needs of students through clear and accurate interpretation
• Collaborate with educational teams to ensure full participation in all school activities
• Maintain professional confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreting standards
• Remain flexible to adjust to changing schedules or assignments within the school year
