- Preferred: 2 years of experience in the school setting
- Requirements: Valid state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter, be willing to obtain SC licensure.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussion, and school activities using ASL.
- Support students' access to academic content, social interactions, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support students' educational participation, communication, and inclusion.
- Assist with IEP meetings and ensure compliance with educational and communication standards.
- Adapt interpretation to meet diverse student needs, including working with students with gestural communication or Deaf Plus.
