Hardtop Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Hardtop Assembly Technician to support the assembly and installation of hardtops, ensuring superior quality and attention to detail.

The Hardtop Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing hardtops according to design specifications and safety standards. This role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of composites and marine assembly practices, and a dedication to precision and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assembling and installing hardtops following blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards, safety protocols, and company requirements
  • Working with fiberglass, composites, adhesives, and fasteners to complete assembly tasks
  • Inspecting work for accuracy and finish, addressing any issues before final delivery
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and work area in a safe, clean, and organized condition
  • Accurately tracking materials used and reporting any shortages or issues to supervisors
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
  • Experience in marine manufacturing or related field strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of fiberglass, composites, and boat assembly techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in boat assembly
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and craftsmanship

Physical requirements include:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
  • Comfortable working in various conditions, including confined spaces and elevated platforms
  • Manual dexterity and stamina to perform repetitive tasks
