Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. Seeks Safety Advisors in/around Georgetown and Berkeley Counties. Site locations are in Georgetown and Cross, SC.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Ensure the health and safety of the workers, the jobsite, environment, and general public.
- Inspect jobsites, identify potential hazards, assess risks, report hazards, and take appropriate action.
- Investigate incidents to identify causes and develop preventive measures.
- Provide guidance and coaching to field employees.
- Communicate and collaborate with management to align safety strategies and programs with corporate expectations and policies.
- Assist in responding to and correcting significant safety events such as serious injury, illness, fatalities, or regulatory actions.
- Proactively recommend changes to protect workers and educate employees.
- Collect and validate safety records and complete safety audits.
- Administer drug testing and basic first aid.
- Lead safety meetings.
- Possess specified certifications, including but not limited to OSHA 30.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain and practice workplace safety programs, procedures, and policies.
- Good interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills with all levels of the organization.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Strategize with the safety team to support a safety culture that recognizes hazards and acts to minimize risk.
- Organize and manage multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of cloud‑based technical programs such as Office 365 Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, and One Drive.
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial construction and, in combination, at least 1 year of experience in a safety assignment.
- OSHA 30 (OSHA 500/501 strongly preferred).
- Forklift trainer certification.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Climb stairwells up to 15 levels high.
- Ascend and descend ladders (step, extension, cage) up to 24 feet high.
- Walk at a normal pace for up to 15 continuous minutes.
- Work from a standing position for 8–12 hours.
- Twist and bend on a recurring basis.
- Weather conditions that can be expected include wet, humid, heat, cold, bright/dim light, traffic, heights, dust, and pollen.
- Observe normal visual acuity, field vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception, and texture perception.
- Work may occur in high‑noise vibrating areas.
