Position: Retail Sales Associate - 0438

Pay: $10.00 to $13.00 per hour. Commission:
Up to 8% on transactions (average $2.18 per hour on top of hourly rate).

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and assist customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Responsibilities include working with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles cash and negotiable items per company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must have a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details will be provided during the interview process.
