We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy construction equipment to support underground utility and site preparation projects. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with multiple types of equipment and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes to move earth, rock, or other materials.
• Inspect equipment daily and perform basic preventative maintenance (fueling, lubrication, safety checks).
• Follow site plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment around ground crews, utilities, and other job site hazards.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
• Report equipment issues or malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors immediately.
• Support crew members with general labor duties as needed.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment in construction or utility work (water/sewer preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe trenching/excavation practices.
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes, site drawings, and layouts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to perform manual labor in addition to equipment operation.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Comfort working in trenches, uneven terrain, and noisy environments.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment controls with precision.
