Maintenance Electrician
We are seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians to support a high-volume manufacturing facility in the aluminum production industry. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure continuous plant operations in a heavy industrial environment.
Responsibilities- Perform electrical troubleshooting on production equipment, including motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems up to 480V and higher; medium/high voltage experience preferred.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair issues with automation systems, sensors, instrumentation, and HMIs.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting preferred.
- Ability to work with high-voltage systems and in a heavy industrial setting.
- Comfortable working in hot environments, around heavy machinery, and with required PPE.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in metals, aluminum, steel, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
- Familiarity with VFDs, robotics, or automated systems.
- Experience with cranes, conveyors, or smelting/processing equipment.

Experience a very heavy industrial environment that is not climate-controlled, with some areas being extremely hot due to equipment operations and outdoor climate. The work culture is familial, with team members collaborating across roles to solve issues. Dress code includes steel toes, hardhat, safety glasses, and ear plugs, with additional PPE depending on the department. The rotating shift schedule requires flexibility, with shifts from 7 am to 7 pm for day shift, and 7 pm to 7 am for night shift.
Straight day shifts are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Mandatory overtime may be required, and shift arrangements are communicated upon hiring.

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $93960.00/yr.
