Pipefitter
This role involves installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems while ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to project specifications. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to complete projects on time and to a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems made of stainless steel and carbon steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, schematics, and specifications to determine pipe layout and routing.
- Measure, cut, thread, and prepare pipe to precise specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders.
- Use appropriate pipe fitting tools and equipment to fit, align, and secure piping systems according to technical requirements.
- Inspect completed work to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate work and ensure timely project completion.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with piping systems and recommend or implement corrective actions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
- Follow site-specific rules and protocols when working in heavy industrial plants and construction environments.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems.
- Proven pipe fitting experience in industrial and construction environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, technical schematics, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of pipe fitting tools, equipment, and safe operating procedures.
- Ability to measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe accurately using saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders.
- Solid knowledge of industry safety standards and safe work practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other trades.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Pipe welding experience is a plus.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- Experience working in heavy industrial plants and new construction sites is beneficial.
- Comfort working with both stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems.
- Ability to adapt to different project requirements and site conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moncks Corner, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
