Datacenter Technician

Insight Global is looking to hire Datacenter Technicians to support a client located in Moncks Corner, SC (+ Ridgeville, SC as needed). The ideal candidate will come from a background such as HVAC, plumbing, construction, material handling, etc - datacenter experience is not required - but an interest to learn and grow in this space is! This role is intended to be a long-term opportunity, starting off as a 12-month long contract with the intention to convert this person to FTE barring attendance or performance concerns.

• Cable Installation:
  Pull and route cables throughout the facility, ensuring proper placement and secure connections.
• Rack and Stack:
  Assemble and install network racks, panels, and related hardware according to layout specifications.
• Technical Labor Support:
  Assist with general construction-related technical tasks, such as equipment setup, material handling, and site preparation.
• Safety Compliance:
  Follow OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines, including PPE requirements and metal detector checks.

  Work closely with supervisors and other technicians to meet daily production goals and maintain project timelines.

• OSHA 10 (Construction) Certification – General Certification does not qualify, does not need to be certified prior to being hired but must be willing to get certified prior to first day.
• Entry-level; 0-1 years of technical experience required within similar cabling work or other skilled trade. Candidates coming from an IT background would not be the right fit for this role.
• Able to reliably work onsite 5 days per week mostly in Moncks Corner, SC as well as Ridgeville, SC when extra hands are needed.
• Able to reliably work 5x10s, with optional overtime, M-F 7a - 5:30p. US Citizenship.

• Lift certification.
• Experience with Manlift.

$15-20/hr.
