Description

The Seabulk Lead is responsible for overseeing essential packaging functions in a safe and productive environment. This role involves leading, training, and supervising personnel while ensuring the safe movement and packaging of customer products. The Seabulk Lead also manages inventory, operates forklifts, performs light maintenance, conducts railcar movement, and maintains compliance with company policies, core values, and safety procedures. Effective communication with management and maintenance teams is key to ensuring 100% uptime in production.

Summary

of Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinate loading operations with the Inbound Manager, Rail Coordinator, and dispatch.
  • Verify order accuracy with booking information upon container delivery.
  • Ensure cleanliness of transfer equipment between orders.
  • Supervise proper liner installation.
  • Verify truck scale accuracy and ensure calibrations are current.
  • Confirm correct hopper car is being unloaded.
  • Oversee proper loading of containers and prevent fines emissions.
  • Ensure liners and containers are sealed after loading.
  • Complete all required paperwork and print scale tickets for dispatch.
  • Maintain cleanliness of loading area and report any spills to the supervisor.
  • Manage liner inventory and report updates to the Inbound Manager.
Requirements Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of six (6) months of Seabulk loading experience.
  • Commitment to working safely and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality control focus.
  • Safety-conscious and adherence to protocols.
  • Ability to properly install both 20’ and 40’ seabulk liners.
  • Knowledge of different resin grades to identify and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Minimum of six (6) months seabulk loading experience.
  • Strong quality control skills.
  • Ability to work in an open environment, including inclement weather.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
