Be a key player as a Finance Manager for the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne. Oversee impactful financial operations like accounts payable, banking, and receivables in this full-time role.
This Finance Manager position, under the Comptroller’s guidance, involves managing essential financial processes that support the council's operational integrity. You will prepare monthly performance indicators and contribute to financial policies while ensuring strong governance. Your supervisory experience in finance will be vital for enhancing efficiency and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
• Oversee banking operations accurately
• Develop and maintain monthly performance indicators
• Assist in interim and year-end audit processes
• Contribute to financial policy development
Requirements:
• Five years of experience in finance or accounting
• Supervisory experience is a plus
• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
• Experience in government or First Nation organizations is an asset
• Must have a Canadian Social Insurance number
