In this role, you will collaborate closely with Hiring Managers, Business Partners, and the Talent Team to attract, engage, and retain top talent across the organization.

Any NBCC campus location | Salary Range: $67,600.00 to $94,406.00 per annum.
- Lead Talent Strategy
- Develop and implement innovative talent strategies that support recruitment, retention, employee engagement, career development, succession planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to identify current and future hiring needs and create proactive recruitment solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Support the design and execution of strategic talent programs, workforce planning initiatives, and succession management strategies.
- Contribute to the development of targeted succession plans for high‑risk and business‑critical positions, including talent identification, readiness planning, and development recommendations.
- Lead Strategic Projects
- Lead and support People & Culture projects that drive organizational effectiveness, talent sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop implementation plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes for talent initiatives.
- Support project evaluation by tracking progress, identifying opportunities for improvement, and reporting on outcomes and recommendations.
- Build Strong Partnerships
- Act as a trusted advisor to Hiring Managers and Business Partners by providing expert guidance, coaching, and consultation throughout the recruitment and talent planning process.
- Foster collaborative relationships with leaders, employees, unions, and stakeholders to support a positive and productive work environment.
- Influence and improve recruitment and talent practices by recommending creative and effective workforce solutions.
- Deliver an Exceptional Candidate Experience
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiating offers, and reference checking.
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines using social media, networking, job boards, direct outreach, career fairs, and community partnerships.
- Promote the College's employer brand and create meaningful connections with candidates and industry networks.
- Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor recruitment trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve talent acquisition and talent management strategies.
- Track recruitment and talent metrics to measure effectiveness and support data‑informed decision‑making.
- Lead and contribute to committees, projects, and initiatives that support organizational growth and a culture of inclusion.
- Education
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience & Expertise
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, workforce planning, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting HR and People & Culture projects.
- Experience contributing to succession planning initiatives, including supporting plans for high‑risk or business‑critical roles.
- Demonstrated passion for recruitment, sourcing, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
- Strong ability to build authentic relationships and partner effectively with leaders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to influence and collaborate across diverse groups.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and automation tools.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge of talent analytics and recruitment metrics.
- Exposure to workforce planning and broader talent management frameworks.
- Experience supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies within talent programs.
- Project management or change management experience would be considered an asset.
