Nature of the Work
The managers plan, organize, direct and control the day-to‑day operations in order to maintain a restaurant that meets Pizza Delight standards; they ensure the satisfaction of our guests and establish a positive workplace for employees.
Main Functions- Maintains a professional appearance
- Ensures compliance as to government regulations relative to restaurant standards
- Complies with established budget assessments
- Ensures the control of bank deposits and the petty cash
- Prepares or approves orders
- Deals with guest concerns or complaints
- Is present at peak hours
- Maintains an effective work environment by collaborating and communicating effectively and by facilitating meetings with employees and supervisors
- Applies all promotional activities
- Ensures the training of new employees and the development of current employees
- Ensures the update of all Pizza Delight manuals
- Ensures compliance to Pizza Delight employee manuals, to organizational regulations and to health and safety work standards
- Applies preventative maintenance for equipment
- Establishes the needs and the work schedule of personnel
- Ensures the recruiting and hiring of personnel
- Evaluates personnel
- Executes all other tasks as requested by the franchisee
- A high school diploma may be required
- 1 to 2 years experience as a team leader in a dining room or kitchen or a management position in a retail operation
- Ability to quickly grasp the facts of complex situations, understanding of operations, analytical mind, attention to detail, numerical ability, critical thinking, decision‑making, and openness to change
- Interpersonal skills, ease at meeting people, teamwork, collaboration, leadership, adaptability to new situations, and good verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingualism may be required
- Good personal grooming, confidence, integrity, stress management skills, dynamism, energy, autonomy, initiative, availability, flexibility, desire for challenge, and orientation toward quality work and service
- Overtime is normal
- It is frequently required to work nights, weekends and statutory holidays
- It requires working in the office and in various positions at peak hours according to the situation
- It is possible to be called in
