HR Receptionist

Responsible for maintaining the phone system and reception area, ensuring it remains organized, clean, and clutter‑free.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and screen all visitors and vendors; maintain visitor log, badges, and confidentiality procedures.
  • Administer and audit the uniform program to keep inventory and pricing adequate.
  • Issue and maintain adequate inventory of PPE for visitors.
  • Administer safety shoe and safety glasses program.
  • Order, control, and maintain sufficient office supplies; coordinate vendor repairs as needed.
  • Maintain all federal, state, and local required postings, company postings, and policy books, ensuring they remain current.
  • Order, control, and maintain adequate break‑room supplies; coordinate vendor repairs as needed.
  • Help plan and coordinate plant activities, celebrations, retirements, and holiday dinners.
  • Plan, coordinate, and present materials for New Hire Orientation.
  • Actively participate in the HR Team, Charitable Contributions Team, and Safety Team.
  • Serve as primary backup for the HR Administrative Assistant.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the HR Team Leader.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and professional conduct skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must pass required typing, WPT‑R, PCI MS Word & Excel tests.
  • Successful completion of Wonderlic computer tests is required.
  • Interview required for all candidates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, neat, and well organized.
  • Flexible and willing to assist co‑workers with additional tasks.
  • Willing to work overtime and/or varied shifts as needed.
  • Experience working as a team player, documented by performance appraisals.
  • Acceptable absenteeism rate (≤ 40 points) and no disciplinary action.
  • English speaking reading requirement for comprehension of English language.
Physical Demands
  • Stand for up to 1 hour.
  • Walk for up to 1 hour.
  • Sit for up to 8 hours.
  • Lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Compensation

Production Support 1B – $18.51 to $21.94 base wage with a 24‑month progression.
