Position Summary
The Operational Excellence Engineer II plays a critical part in driving operational excellence by leading and executing process optimization initiatives. Partnering closely with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, the Engineer evaluates end-to-end workflows, leads data‑driven improvements, supports capital investments, and researches emerging technologies to advance performance.
Key Responsibilities- Process Development
:
Lead cross‑functional development, standardization, and optimization of manufacturing and business processes, including capital projects from concept through implementation to improve capacity, flow, and effectiveness. - Data Analysis
:
Collect and analyze operational/process data to identify inefficiencies, constraints, and gaps; conduct research on best practices, technologies, and methods to inform solutions and investment decisions. - Problem Solving
:
Lead larger‑scope projects, applying a solid understanding of problem‑solving methodologies; coach supervisors and operators on CI tools, standard work, and problem‑solving behaviors. - Operations/AMS
:
Plan and execute Ops initiatives that impact operational performance; drive and lead AMS culture change; lead CI projects aligned to safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. - Team Collaboration & Mentorship
:
Facilitate cross‑departmental collaboration to align process improvement goals; provide guidance, resolve roadblocks, and support leaders and frontline teams with training and technical guidance in AMS/Lean tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
- Applied knowledge of CI and Lean methodologies.
- Strong facilitation and collaboration skills; ability to influence without authority.
- Comfort with operational metrics and data.
Frequent exposure to manufacturing environments and extended periods of office work. Regional day travel expected; overnight travel up to 10% of the time.
Physical RequirementsAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
