Job DescriptionThe IAM Operations Specialist plays a key role within the Cybersecurity Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. This individual will support the day-to-day operations of identity lifecycle management, ensuring secure access to systems and applications across the organization. The role requires a strong foundation in IT systems, security best practices, and user access management.
What You'll Do- Manage identity lifecycle processes, including user account creation, maintenance, and termination
- Administer and maintain Active Directory objects, including assigning and removing permissions
- Grant and manage user access across systems such as networks, applications, and development environments
- Analyze and process access requests in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve user access and authentication issues
- Monitor and enhance IAM processes to improve system security and efficiency
- Support and complete Service Desk tickets and requests related to access management
- Communicate security policies, procedures, and best practices to employees across the organization
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure appropriate access controls are in place
- Assist in testing and implementing changes to improve system security
- Document processes and maintain accurate records of access and security activities
- Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) best practices
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration
- Experience in help desk, system analysis, or IT security operations
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve user access issues effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with Service Now.
- Excellent customer relations and service skills.
- Experience with applications, new account creations and/or permissions and terminations.
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve user problems in a timely manner.
- Strong ability to cope under pressure and work in a high-pace environment.
- Experience with Identity Governance technology, such as Sailpoint and Savignt.
- Works on non-complex to moderately complex projects. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.
- General knowledge of the applications utilized and the associated security.
