Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Schreiber Foods. The role focuses on optimizing production processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of food products, and collaborating across multiple functions to drive continuous improvement while maintaining product quality.
LocationThis role is 100% onsite at our Monett, MO manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, process capability, risk, and cost reduction.
- Design and implement improvements to enhance yield, reduce waste, increase throughput, improve cycle times, reduce bottlenecks, and streamline operations while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and quality standards.
- Leverage data for process optimization in collaboration with Operations Excellence and Data Science/Analytics teams.
- Scale up new products from concept to production, ensuring seamless integration into existing manufacturing processes.
- Partner with Maintenance and Reliability Engineering to ensure equipment uptime and reliability, incorporating predictive maintenance strategies.
- Lead or assist in the development of new equipment installations or modifications, focusing on maximizing output and minimizing downtime.
- Apply data analysis and statistical techniques to identify bottlenecks, process variability, and others; implement data-driven solutions to increase overall efficiency.
- Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure points and risks, developing strategies to reduce operational risk.
- Define and own manufacturing process control plans, set up in-process measurement systems, complete GR&R activities, and set up process monitoring and trending, including SPC of critical parameters.
- Perform process capability studies to predict manufacturing trends and ensure customer specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in selection and evaluation of equipment, tools, and materials for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness, leveraging automation and digitalization opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical or related field).
- 2–5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience with in the food industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA) or willingness to learn.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
