Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Monett Metals, Inc. in Monett, MO. This role is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities related to steel and stainless-steel castings, including developing and maintaining quality procedures, standards, and documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry regulations. The Quality Assurance Manager will lead inspections and testing, analyze nonconformities, coordinate corrective and preventive actions, and collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to resolve quality issues.

Daily responsibilities include managing quality audits, monitoring key quality metrics, training team members on quality practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the foundry. The role also involves direct interaction with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns, support qualification of new products, and maintain strong, trust-based relationships.

• Experience in quality management within a metal casting environment, including developing and implementing quality systems and procedures.
• Knowledge of inspection and testing methods (e.g., dimensional inspection, NDT, visual and metallurgical inspection) and familiarity with relevant standards and specifications.
• Skills in root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement methodologies (such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, or Lean/Kaizen practices).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, and to communicate quality expectations clearly to cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, including creating and maintaining quality records, reports, and process documentation.
• Effective leadership and people-management abilities, with experience training and coaching team members on quality practices.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and quality-related software tools; experience with data analysis and reporting is beneficial.
• Preferred qualifications include prior foundry or specialty metals experience, familiarity with ISO or similar quality frameworks.
