Job Requirements and DutiesAs the general manager, you are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory management, cash handling, and customer relations. You must set the example, follow all policies and procedures 100% of the time, and expect the same from your crew. Your core duties include:
- Staffing and scheduling
- Paperwork and compliance
- Cost control and cash management
- Food management and preparation oversight
- Ensuring store cleanliness and presentation
- Marketing and promotion execution
- Maintaining profitability and meeting sales targets
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Managing attendance, punctuality, and safety standards
- Transportation to and from work is your responsibility

Qualifications- Operate all equipment (oven, fryer, bakery, etc.)
- Stock ingredients and perform inventory checks
- Prepare and assemble products accurately
- Handle telephone orders promptly and correctly
- Complete required paperwork and inventory logs
- Maintain daily equipment cleanliness
- Participate in orientation and on‑the‑job training
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Perform accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (calculator may be used)
- Make correct monetary change and handle cash transactions
- Use verbal, written, and phone skills for order processing
- Coordinate motor skills for rapid, precise work in the kitchen
- Enter orders using computer keyboards or touch screens
- Show strong customer service orientation
- Maintain presentation standards and store image
In‑store temperatures range from 36° to 90°+, with sudden changes and exposure to food fumes, cornmeal dust, and high‑heat surfaces. Working conditions include:
- Outdoor tasks during varying weather while removing trash
- Potential exposure to sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
- Short and long walks in and outside the store
- Cramped walk‑in cooler and high stacks of trays
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Light walking for short distances and lift up to 50 lbs
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items including pizza trays and ingredient cases
- Frequent bending, stooping, and squatting at the assembly station
- Repeating these movements multiple times throughout the shift
- Occasional stair‑climbing or ladder use for maintenance tasks
- Eye‑hand coordination for pizza dough shaping, cutting, and box assembly
Employees are expected to maintain proper ergonomic practices, including forward bending, reaching, and hand tasks. They must be comfortable with equipment such as computers, telephones, calculators, and pizza tools.
Driving SpecificJob Duties
- Deliver products by car to customer locations
- Distribute flyers and door hangers
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured, delivery‑capable vehicle
- Navigational skills: reading maps, locating addresses within the delivery area
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain with product on the way
- Effective use of phone, keyboard, or touch screen for order entry
- Carrying multiple pizzas and beverages during deliveries
- Driving to and within designated delivery areas, making several stops per shift
- Walking from store to vehicle and between customer locations
- Ascending five or more flights of stairs when required
Deliveries involve exposure to varying weather conditions and occasional street hazards while driving and carrying products.
