The role involves responding to customer inquiries and processing orders with a courteous and efficient manner. The position also includes greeting visitors, handling telephone responses, scheduling, and performing various clerical duties. The candidate may need to resolve complaints relating to work orders, shipments, inventory counts, and other customer issues.
What You’ll Do- Respond to all customer inquiries and complaints regarding work‐orders, shipments, inventory counts, etc.
- Report customer feedback to management.
- Act as liaison between customer, warehouse, and office for account administration, invoicing, and credit changes.
- Generate all paperwork/information required for customer work orders and track orders and inventory records.
- Ensure proper invoicing of accounts by verifying computer‑generated invoices.
- Provide clerical support, maintain files, answer phones, operate office equipment/computers, and greet visitors.
- Schedule loads as required and maintain updated reports to ensure all loads are empty and closed.
- Resolve refused product, over, short, and damaged (OS&D) orders.
- Follow attendance policy and show up for work on time and ready to work the assigned shift.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 0–2 years of related work experience.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility and initiative.
- Experience working with challenging customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Understanding of the specific needs and requests of customers, including product handling and storage needs.
- Ability to work well with colleagues and respond appropriately to criticism.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with desktop computers.
- Accurate typing and data entry skills.
- Ability to sit for long periods and perform frequent interruptions.
- Ability to sit, get up, and move during several hours per day.
- Manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for office work.
- Good vision, hearing, and speech for task completion.
- May require travel by automobile and airplane for business purposes.
- May require visiting facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
- May carry and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to use various electronic tools.
- Collaborative ability with colleagues and responsiveness to constructive feedback.
Compensation: $15–$22 per hour (rate may vary based on work location).
