General Description:

Immaculate Conception Catholic School is seeking a full-time Physical Education teacher to foster a positive, faith-filled environment and help students develop a lifelong appreciation for health, fitness, and teamwork. The P.E. teacher supports the mission and philosophy of the school, follows diocesan and school policies, and collaborates with staff to provide a well-rounded educational experience for all students.

• Create a positive, faith-filled environment that supports student growth and well-being
• Plan and deliver engaging, active, and developmentally appropriate physical education lessons
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive conflict resolution
• Teach skills related to physical fitness, movement, and health using a variety of instructional strategies
• Ensure maximum participation and differentiate instruction so all students experience success
• Maintain effective classroom management and a safe learning environment
• Organize and prepare equipment and instructional materials
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support growth
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate professionally with staff, students, and families
• Supervise students and ensure their safety at all times
• Participate in professional development and school initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal

Teaching certification preferred, but not required
