• Maintain cleanliness of office buildings, break rooms, bathrooms, outdoor grounds, parking lots, warehouse and dock areas under general supervision.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.
• Execute routine maintenance activities and remove debris from grounds, reporting needed repairs to management.
• Ensure pest control systems operate effectively and report any issues to supervisor.
• Clear ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lots as seasonally required.
• Keep company grounds free of litter and debris.
• Work safely, reporting hazards to shift supervisor; comply with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Adhere to attendance policies and arrive on time for assigned shifts.
• May be required to wash or sweep interiors of trailers and/or railcars.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include tasks outside routine responsibilities.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or at least one year of related work experience.

• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and solve routine problems.
• Understanding and adherence to all safety rules, procedural manuals and diagrams.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, safe use of cleaning chemicals, and standard janitorial techniques.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Readiness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as required.
• Interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships with coworkers.
• Proficiency with cleaning equipment such as steamers, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.

The associate frequently uses hands to handle objects, talks or hears, stands, walks, and reaches with hands and arms. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling may be required. The job involves exposure to extreme cold and moderate noise levels.
