Overview

The Program Director or Program Manager is responsible for the management and strategic growth of the Wound Care Program for the assigned area of responsibility. They oversee day‑to‑day center operations, staff management, financial management, quality/performance improvement, and community education, and maintain collaborative relationships with hospital partners.

All employees must comply with Healogics policies, hospital policies, accrediting organizations, federal and state regulations, and CMS guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Center Operations (20%):
    Oversees outpatient clinic(s) and wound continuum programs, evaluates clinic flows, identifies improvement areas, implements best practices, ensures adequate resources, and directs clinical and non‑clinical staff. Manages direct reports, hiring, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Financial Management (10%):
    Coordinates all aspects of the revenue cycle for Healogics and the hospital partner, monitors reimbursement changes, reviews financial reports, tracks ancillary revenues, controls costs, and presents results to hospital leadership.
  • Community Education/Marketing (40%):
    Works with marketing departments to develop and execute referral programs, maintains list of physician practices, visits practices, documents interactions in CRM, and reports referral development to leadership.
  • Quality/Performance Improvement (10%):
    Leads a continuous performance improvement program, integrates with partner hospital PIP, monitors patient and referral satisfaction, ensures compliance with patient safety guidelines, and participates in relevant committees.
  • Relationship Management (15%):
    Maintains strong relationship with hospital client, aligns the program with hospital strategic goals, attends departmental meetings, and fosters teamwork among panel physicians and support staff.
Required Education, Experience and Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field plus 1 year of marketing/community education or clinical operations experience.
  • Associate’s degree in a related field plus 2 or more years of marketing/community education or clinical operations experience.
  • High School Diploma plus 4 or more years of marketing/community education or clinical operations experience.
  • Management experience preferred.
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent customer service and follow‑up skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills capable of multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Leadership, teaching, team‑building, motivation, and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Ability to work with Healogics and hospital management, budget and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
Physical Demands
  • Remain stationary for extended periods (≥4 hours).
  • View computer screen for extended periods (≥4 hours). Key on computer frequently (≥4 hours).
  • Move, read, communicate, write, lift or move items up to 20 pounds.
  • Push/pull, bend/stoop, reach/grasp with hands, travel distances (car, airplane, etc.).
  • Maintain color perception, close, distance, and peripheral vision.
Work Environment
  • Normal office environment.
  • Primarily indoors.
  • Patient care environment exposure to hazards such as blood borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable gases, mechanical equipment, moving objects.
Salary

$88,400.00–$ annually, based on experience, education, geography and operational needs.
