We are seeking an experienced and committed Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Officer to help us realise our ambition of building a truly inclusive, intellectually open and respectful community where all students and staff can thrive.

About the role

This is a pivotal role at the heart of the College’s institutional transformation. Working closely with the Head of EDI and colleagues across academic and professional services teams, you will:

  • Prepare reports, dashboards and governance papers to track impact and progress
  • Foster meaningful engagement with staff networks, student representatives and senior leaders
  • Support open and constructive dialogue on complex issues, balancing equality principles with freedom of academic expression

You will play a central role in embedding evidence-led, legally robust and proportionate approaches to equity and inclusion across the College’s culture, policies and decision-making.

About you

You will bring:

  • Experience working in EDI across multiple equality areas
  • A strong understanding of equality legislation and the Higher Education regulatory landscape
  • Proven ability to coordinate projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Excellent analytical skills, with confidence interpreting and presenting quantitative and qualitative data
  • Sound judgement when handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels

You will be highly organised, proactive and motivated, with a clear commitment to advancing equality of opportunity and fostering good relations across diverse communities.

At the RCA, you will work within a globally respected institution that values creativity, critical thinking and bold ideas. You will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to shaping an inclusive culture within a dynamic, international postgraduate environment at the forefront of contemporary art and design.

If you are ready to help drive forward our EDI ambitions at the world’s leading art and design university, we would love to hear from you.
