Job overview

Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced English Teacher to join our team in Monmouth. You’ll possess energy, enthusiasm and desire to inspire a love of English. You will be responsible for delivering English lessons in line with relevant curriculum requirements, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained, whilst collaborating with the wider English faculty to sustain and raise class achievement to an outstanding level.

You’ll have an enthusiasm for supporting learners with additional needs, teaching with a positive and inclusive outlook, and managing complex behaviours within a structured learning environment, to ensure differently-abled learners can reach their full potential.

The right candidate will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant specialist qualifications and subject experience (e.g BA Hons. degree in English)
  • Understanding of curriculum requirements for English
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
  • Understanding of how to implement assessment methods for differentiated learning strategies
  • Experience working with students with SEND is essential.
  • To have an awareness of a trauma informed approach.
