What you’ll be responsible for- Taking responsibility for operating sites in line with environmental permits to protect environment; general maintenance of equipment and site, taking effluent samples to monitor and improve biological performance
- Taking responsibility for identifying and where applicable undertaking reactive work as required. Raising reactive work for equipment when required and liaising with multi-discipline craft team on facilitating repairs
- Identifying potential pollution risks from our assets, taking measures to prevent pollution, and escalating when required
- Liaising and coordinating with the area Supervisor and team members on operating activities and continuous improvement for the area
- Taking responsibility for personal and colleagues’ safety through compliance with company Health and Safety procedures
- Understanding and adhering to quality system requirements to ensure audit compliance
- Taking ownership of sites, ensuring house-keeping standards are maintained and defects reported
- Willing to develop and learn within the role and have the flexibility and competence to operate and maintain multiple sites
- Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation
- Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business
- Participating in out of hours standby rota.
- Demonstrable experience of compliance and adherence to Health & safety standards
- Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day
- Awareness of regulatory bodies such as Environment Agency/NRW
- Computer systems literate
- Passionate about our outdoor environment and protecting our surroundings
- Team player, willing to take part in all necessary training requirements required for the role
- Multi-site mobile working within defined geographical area, no home working.
- Working 1 weekend in 4. (8 hours Saturday and 8 hours Sunday.) & 260 hours of uncommitted & committed hours planned work time with additional earning potential of up to £3000 a year
