Position Summary - Door Technician / AAADM Certified Inspector

As an AAADM Certified Inspector at Walmart, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our stores run smoothly and efficiently.

You'll be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our facilities, equipment, and fixtures.

Working under the guidance of the local General Maintenance Manager, you'll follow established schedules and guidelines, performing inspections, cleaning, and repairs to keep everything in top condition. This role is also known as a Door Technician, focusing on automatic door systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, etc.) and hand or power tools.
  • Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
  • Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
  • Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
  • Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Requirements
  • AAADM Certification with a previous employer and at least 6 months experience in the automatic door industry OR worked in the industry for at least 90 days and completed AAADM factory training.
  • 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs routinely and move up or down ladders frequently.
  • Ability to sit, stand for long periods, and work in various temperatures.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling, or related trade.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling, or related trade.
