The Goddard School of Monroe is seeking a nurturing, energetic, and dedicated Full-Time Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, creates a safe and engaging learning environment, and enjoys helping young children learn and grow through play-based experiences.
Position SummaryAs a Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering positive relationships with children and families, and maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom environment. You will work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school leadership to support the development of children ages 18 months to 3 years.
Responsibilities- Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and positive classroom environment.
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning.
- Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Observe and assess children's progress and communicate with families regularly.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow team members.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing regulations.
- Supervise children at all times, including during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, dependable, and passionate about working with young children.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
This is a full-time position
. Candidates must be available to work our rotating schedule
, which includes opening, mid-day, and closing shifts as assigned. Flexibility and reliability are essential to meet the needs of the school and our families.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit on the floor, bend, squat, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors.
