• Design a variety of steel racking systems including Tuberacks, Drive-In racks, Cantilever racks, Pushback, and Pallet Flow racks.
• Develop safe and economical steel racking systems that fulfill project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards.
• Utilize industry software for structural frames, beams, bracing, mezzanine, and platforms to ensure structural integrity and performance.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and other team members to communicate engineering requirements and ensure seamless project execution.
• Review and check structural drawings for accuracy.
• Continuously learn and collaborate with teams to develop innovative solutions.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire date.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English.

• Educational focus on structural engineering.
• Basic knowledge of building construction.
• Understanding of current building codes and standard industry practices.
• Experience in the field of steel rack supported structures.
