Position: Patient Access Assoc - Walton, Days
Overview:
Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data. Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments. Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices. Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Education

* H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

* 1 year exp in one of the following:
Required

* Healthcare Revenue Cycle Required or

* Clinical role Required or

* Related clerical accounting/finance/retail Required or

* 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience Preferred

* Prior Epic experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

* None Required

* Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred or

* Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred
