Gotham Greens is seeking a dynamic, hands‑on HR Manager to join its national Human Resources (HR) team as a strategic thought partner, with full ownership of all day‑to‑day HR, and to fully execute key local‑level HR initiatives that support Operations and further Gotham Greens mission.
What You’ll Do- Own and manage the employee lifecycle for the region: recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Ensure employee compliance with Form I‑9 and E‑Verify employment authorization requirements.
- Review and approve weekly and biweekly payroll time and attendance registers.
- Advise and coach facility leaders and employees on a wide array of HR subjects: company policies, values, performance expectations, health and safety, culture and engagement, employee benefits and leave, labor planning and recruiting.
- Carry out company’s facility level people plan.
- Track and report on HR KPIs that correlate to company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations that touch the employment relationship (FLSA, OSHA, EEO, NLRA).
- Partner with facility leadership to support business objectives.
- Act as an integral member of the national HR team, contributing to local and company‑wide initiatives.
- Facilitate benefits open enrollment for the ATL greenhouse.
- Own the data management and accuracy in the company’s HRIS for the ATL facility.
- Any other responsibilities as may be assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7+ years of Human Resources generalist and talent acquisition experience. Preference for candidates with HR experience in a manufacturing/CPG company.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Consultative style and approach with the ability to develop credible relationships and partnerships with facility leadership.
- Proactive, highly organized, attentive to detail, and works with a sense of urgency.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters, utilizing sound judgement in a complex and fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working effectively with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite:
Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint;
SharePoint;
Experience with HRIS (Paycom) a plus. - Must have valid authorization to work in the United States.
