Overview
Position Summary...
What you'll do- Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
- Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, coordinating workloads, and ensuring associates complete required training to achieve facility goals.
- Manage daily administrative functions of the HR office (e.g., benefits, hiring, transfers, terminations, payroll) by executing and refining recruiting and staffing initiatives and addressing employment-related concerns for applicants, associates, and managers.
- Ensure compliance with company HR policies by reviewing and managing the accuracy, confidentiality, and maintenance of HR documents; assist in the implementation of and ensuring compliance with HR systems/applications; and researching to gather data for HR-related issues.
- Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures; monitor compliance; distribute and maintain procedures and supporting documentation.
- Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action or make recommendations to resolve issues.
- Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, mentoring, and modeling policies and procedures; identify training and development needs; participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.
- Manage and coordinate training (e.g., new hire orientation, modules, web-based training, virtual classrooms) for Distribution and/or Transportation associates; identify training needs, monitor completion, and ensure deadlines are met for multiple training activities.
- Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; communicate goals and objectives; build accountability and measure progress.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training, mentoring, recognizing contributions, and promoting a sense of belonging in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support the company mission, values, ethics, and integrity by implementing action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and guiding execution of business processes and practices.
- Respect the individual by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, and creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected; promote a culture of belonging and opportunities for all to thrive.
