We are on the lookout for motivated, dependable, and dedicated caregivers to provide exceptional direct care and support to our patients. The Registered Nurse assesses, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Position responsibilities and requirements are described below.

• Complete the Nursing Assessment documenting patient information, medications, medical history, vital signs, and skin assessment. Employ principles of communication and interviewing techniques.
• Work with children, adolescents, adults, and senior populations. Be familiar with common diagnoses for these groups and with specific assessment and interviewing skills for each population.
• Call physician for admission and medication orders. Complete Medication Reconciliation by patient/family/pharmacy verification.
• Report signs or symptoms of infection, illness, or medical instability to the physician after assessment.

• Education:
  
  Graduate from an accredited RN program;
  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience:
  
  A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric facility preferred.
• Liscensure:
  Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia State Board of Nursing.
• Additional Requirements:
  
  Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR and CPI certification and successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior including restraint and seclusion policies within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Working knowledge of the DSM-V, Mental Status Exam, and the Addiction and Recovery field.
