We are looking for an
experienced Lead Turf Care Spray Technician
to join our team. This position is for someone who has 2+ years of hands-on turf care experience, understands proper chemical applications, and is ready to take on a leadership role in the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional turf care applications, including fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other turf products
- Identify common turf weeds, insects, diseases, and turf health issues
- Follow established turf treatment programs and application schedules
- Properly mix, load, transport, and apply products according to label requirements
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain spray equipment
- Inspect turf and identify potential problems
- Maintain accurate application and service records
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding turf conditions and treatments
- Lead and train turf technicians in proper application techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure routes and services are completed efficiently and to company standards
- Perform routine equipment checks and report or address mechanical issues
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly functioning equipment
- Follow all company safety procedures and Georgia pesticide regulations
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of professional turf care experience
- Experience with professional fertilizer and pesticide applications
- Knowledge of common turf weeds, insects, diseases, and turf health issues
- Ability to safely handle and apply turf care products
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in Georgia weather
- Ability to lead and work effectively with a team
A Plus:
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable troubleshooting equipment
- Experience maintaining spray rigs, pumps, spreaders, and other turf care equipment
- Previous lead technician or supervisory experience
- Experience with residential and commercial turf programs
- Experience with Bermuda, Zoysia, Centipede, and other warm-season grasses
The Lead Technician will set the standard for
quality, safety, and professionalism
in the field. You will work alongside other technicians, help train team members, troubleshoot turf issues, and ensure applications are performed correctly.
We are looking for someone who
knows turf, takes pride in their work, can diagnose problems, and isn t afraid to get their hands dirty.Mechanical ability and the ability to troubleshoot equipment are a major plus.
