Tax Auditor
Location: Monroe, LA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $50,000+ based on experience
- Review individual and business tax returns for accuracy and compliance
- Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation
- Conduct tax audits and identify discrepancies or areas of concern
- Prepare audit reports and supporting work papers
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients
- Research tax laws and regulations as needed
- Assist with tax planning and compliance strategies
- Maintain accurate and organized client records
- Collaborate with accountants and firm leadership on audit engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 1+ years of tax, audit, or public accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of tax laws and auditing principles
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Effective communication and client service skills
