Position: Full Time Teller

Description

Full Time Teller – Responsible for assisting members with daily financial transactions while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. Provide a legendary customer experience by being knowledgeable about all products and services and cross‑selling credit union services when appropriate.

  • Receives and processes member financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments), sells money orders and official checks, and transfers amounts between accounts as directed.
  • Balances cash drawer and reconciles daily transactions.
  • Implements the credit union’s member experience process by cross‑selling services, providing routine information, and directing members to the appropriate department for specialized services.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks such as typing, filing, computer input, and answering the telephone.
  • Completes continuing education and other assigned training as required.
  • Scans all appropriate work daily.
Performance Measurements
  • Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members and associates.
  • Fulfill Teller Standards as required.
  • Accurately post transactions, maintaining fewer than 3 unresolved posting errors in a 30‑day period.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Proactively identify appropriate products and services to benefit members.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and timeliness.
  • Maintain a professional work environment and business‑like appearance.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Minimum of 1‑12 months of similar or related experience.
  • High school education or GED.
  • Ability to perform routine contact with the public, providing service and information with courtesy.
  • Proficiency with a ten‑key calculator and computer keyboard by touch.
  • Attention to detail for handling numbers and names.
  • Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods in one area.
