Early Head Start Infant-Toddler Teacher for Children’s Coalition of Northeast Louisiana

The Infant‑Toddler Teacher provides services to children 6 weeks‑3 years old inside an infant/toddler classroom. An Early Head Start Infant‑Toddler Teacher works alongside a co‑teacher to create a safe learning environment daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Must have a minimum of a CDA (Child Development Associate) with infant/toddler focus or a higher degree in early childhood education or a related field.
• Experience of at least 1 year in an early childhood setting.
• Self‑directed and multitask oriented.
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct projects.
• Excellent leadership skills.

• Infant‑Toddler Teacher
  • Implement daily schedules including lesson plans and individual plans for infants and toddlers, routines, follow EHS program policies and procedures, and provide quality care to children 6 weeks‑3 years old.
  • Maintain children's files and documentation with organization and confidentiality.
• Relational
  • Build relationships with parents and create opportunities for parent involvement in their classroom and center.
  • Communicate with families regarding their child(ren) and the services being provided.
  • Work with co‑teacher, center staff, program coordinators, and community partners to support the work of Early Head Start.
