As Plant Controller, you’ll oversee all aspects of plant accounting and financial management, from cost analysis and forecasting to reporting and compliance. You’ll partner closely with operations and executive leadership to identify opportunities for savings, improve visibility into performance metrics, and ensure accurate, timely financial results.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements, comparing actuals to budget and forecast.
- Maintain accurate standard costs, general ledger accounts, and reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Lead annual audits and ensure strong internal controls across all accounting functions.
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and collaborate with Operations on root‑cause solutions.
- Support product pricing, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives.
- Develop and track key KPIs to measure performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Lead and mentor a small accounting team to ensure timely, accurate financial processes.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
- Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, and monthly reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in cost accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
