Police Officer Municipal
Job DescriptionThe municipal police officer carries out the necessary prevention missions to maintain public order, safety, security, and cleanliness. They also ensure a close relationship with the community.
• Ensure general surveillance of public roads and places on the municipal territory
• Maintain public order, safety, tranquility, and cleanliness
• Monitor security (entries/exits) near schools
• Enforce mayor's police orders
• Carry out prevention and proximity missions with the population
• Record infractions within your competence by minutes
• Identify and report any malfunctions
• Participate in the management and operation of the video protection system: viewing and exploitation of images in compliance with the legal framework
• Participate in the security of communal events
• Work in collaboration with the ASVP, National Police, and various communal services
• Ensure the writing and transmission of documents (write mayor's orders)
• Report on your activity to the hierarchy
Required Profile• Holder of the rank of municipal police brigadier (mutation, detachment, or aptitude list)
• Holder of the approvals of the Public Prosecutor and the Prefect
• Good mastery of the legal framework, the powers of police of the mayor, and the regulation related to video protection
• Sense of public service, discretion, and respect for the specific deontology of municipal police
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Relational qualities and sense of contact with the population
• Good physical condition
• Driving license B required
Additional Information• Full-time position (36.5 hours/ARTT: 9 days)
• Work in uniform, mainly during the day with variable shifts according to service needs, may justify work in the evening or on certain weekends
• Use of regulatory equipment, including the video protection system
