NORTHEAST DELTA HUMAN SERVICES AUTHORITY MISSION

Serve as a catalyst for individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disorders to help them realize their full human potential by offering quality, excellent care with greater accessibility.

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is looking for Behavioral Health Technicians for our Reaching Independence through Support and Recovery (RISE) Treatment Center
, a residential treatment center for pregnant women with substance use disorders (SUDs) and their dependent children. The BHT serves as a frontline support staff member, maintaining a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment that promotes maternal recovery, child safety, and family stabilization in accordance with CARF, ASAM, and relevant licensing standards.

OUTCOMES

Integrated Health Technicians (IHT) provide trauma-informed, gender-responsive, and family-centered services in collaboration with clinical, medical, and childcare staff. Their core responsibilities include:

  • Resident Care and Supervision
    • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by our clinical team.
    • Monitor and support residents and their children in accordance with treatment plans.
    • Observe and document client behavior and progress, including any changes in mental health or substance use.
    • Provide 24-hour structured support and observation, including wellness and room checks.
    • Assist with ADLs including hygiene, nutrition, and medication reminders.
    • Accompany or transport residents to off-site appointments.
  • Trauma-Informed Engagement and Support
    • Use de-escalation and grounding techniques.
    • Foster trust with residents experiencing trauma or co-occurring disorders.
    • Respect cultural, developmental, and gender-specific needs.
    • Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Maintain accurate documentation in EHR.
    • Participate in shift hand-offs and team meetings.
    • Communicate effectively with other staff members and participate in team meetings to provide updates on client progress.
  • Group Facilitation and Life Skills Support
    • Facilitate/co-facilitate psychoeducation and life skills groups.
    • Facilitate recreational group therapy sessions and activities to promote positive interactions and build a supportive community.
  • Environmental and Safety Monitoring
    • Perform environmental checks and ensure child-safe conditions.
    • Monitor for signs of relapse or neglect and report per policy.
    • Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, following all facility policies and procedures.

All duties must align with CARF, ASAM Levels 3.3 and 3.5, and applicable laws and policies (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part
2).

Schedule

CONTRACTOR shall work according to assigned work schedule; hours may be adjusted based on need, census capacity including evening and/or weekend hours.

  • 12 hour shift
  • Day and Night shifts available
  • Rotating weekends
Performance Measures

CONTRACTOR’S performance shall be measured based on:

  • Timely and Accurate Documentation
  • Daily Progress Notes in EHR
  • Group Attendance Sheets
  • Resident Transportation Logs
  • Shift Reports and Logs
  • Environmental Safety Logs
  • Incident Response & Reporting Incident Reports (within 1 hour of occurrence)
  • Participation in Groups & Activities
  • Trauma-Informed Practice
  • Professional Conduct & Boundaries
  • Shift Attendance and Punctuality
  • Training Completion
CRITICAL INCIDENT REPORTING

Contractor is responsible for following the NEDHSA Critical Incident Reporting Policy and ensuring NEDHSA receives all critical incidents reports in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the policy.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in behavioral health, inpatient and/or residential care
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and staff.
